I believe that it will totally transform our relationship with God for us to develop a relationship of the fact that He deals with us on the basis of who we our in Christ.
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:6)
Take a moment and think about the following statements:
You are sealed in Christ by the Holy Spirit!
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13)
You are just like Jesus in this world!
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (1 John 4:17)
You have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus!
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)
You were chosen in Him to be holy and without blame before the foundation of the world!
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. (Ephesians 1:4)
I used to read statements like this and shake my head. It did not seem like my life was any different from what it was before I became a Christian. Everything became clear when I learned that that I was a spirit created in the very image of God Himself.
An awareness of the spiritual realm enables us to understand how we can be just like Jesus in this world. We are spirit beings created in the image of God. When we became a Christian we became a brand new creation in the spirit and it is in the spirit that we are now like Jesus!
The Bible is a difficult book to understand if you do not understand the spiritual realm. Jesus said that His words were “spirit and life” (John 6:63). They are first of all spirit and cannot be understood with only the natural mind.
If you are a Christian then you are exactly like Jesus right now. You have His nature, His ability, and His power inside of your spirit.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. (1 John 2:20)
You have the Holy Spirit living in your spirit. He knows everything about everything. He is available twenty four hours a day seven days a week and will lead you into “all truth” (John 16:13) if you will learn to look to Him.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16)
Can you imagine the impact on our lives if we learn how to tap into the potential that is within us? If we will learn how to look beyond the natural realm and look to the Holy Spirit we will find ourselves living lives without any limits!
