We must examine everything in context of God’s Word. There are churches claiming that the source of our problems is God. This is not in alignment with Scripture.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

I remember the first time reading this verse. It was shortly after receiving Christ. The church we went to as a child never spoke of the Holy Spirit and I wondered who or what He was.
We are beginning study of the Holy Spirit. Many Christians are in the same position I was. They attend churches that never talk about Him and have no understanding of His ministry in their lives. I have heard people pray and plead with God to get the devil out of their lives. They forget the words of James.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
