It seems that the focus of Christianity today is on praying down a revival that will change the world. I believe that this is because we lack revelation of the completed work of salvation.
We would see revival if we had a revelation of our position in Christ Jesus! Every Christian already has the power of God deposited in their spirit.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. (Matthew 14:15 – 16)
Jesus told His disciples that the people did not need to “depart” because they could meet their needs!
Christians are crying out to God to pour out revival. I picture Him sitting in heaven with Jesus wondering why we are praying this way when He has already placed His power inside us.
Jesus said, “You meet their needs.”
He is saying the same thing to us today. Christians approach God pleading for revival, and His answer is the same.
We are the answer to the family members that are dying of cancer.
We are the answer to people who are struggling financially.
We are the answer to the lost and dying world around us.
I have heard a lot of people talking about the rapid failure of society in recent years. Many are holding prayer meetings for change without realizing that they hold the answer within themselves. Every Christian has the same power that raised Jesus from the grave in their spirit!
Many people are talking about the need for the Church to be involved in the political realm. I agree that Christians should be involved in politics, but this is not the answer to our world’s problems. Only the Gospel has the solution to what the world is seeking. When we start taking the Gospel and using it to get individual lives changed, we will see society change.
Jesus has called His Church to be the salt and light in the earth. He is waiting for His body to get out of the saltshaker. Christians are far too timid about their faith, and it seems the majority are more concerned with political correctness than the proclamation of the Gospel.

In the account of the feeding of the multitude we see Jesus telling His disciples that they were to feed the people. They had the answer and did not need to send anyone away. I believe that He is telling us the same thing today.
You can be the salt and light in your workplace. God has placed His power inside of every Christian. We need to renew our minds to the truth of what has already been provided in Christ Jesus.
You have the power of God inside of your Spirit if Jesus is the Lord of your life. The only difference between you and someone who is ministering the healing power of God is they have their mind renewed to the Gospel message, and you do not. Each one has the same power inside their spirit, but they have learned to release it, and you have not.
You have “raising from the dead” power inside of you. There are people in your life that have died whom you could have raised. The emphasis is inside your spirit, and you just need to learn who you are in Christ Jesus!

But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. (Matthew 14:16)
Can you imagine the disciple’s reaction to Jesus’ statement? There were thousands of hungry people to feed, and they had no excess food. The disciples took inventory and found that they only had five loaves and two fishes to feed the crowd.
And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
He said, Bring them hither to me. (Matthew 14:17 – 18)
God can take next to nothing and multiply it. The first step will always be for us to present what we have to Him. You will not experience a miracle if you are unwilling to release what you have into His hands.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
That no flesh should glory in his presence. (1 Corinthians 1:27 – 29)
God does not choose people to serve Him the way we do. We would probably choose the best dressed and most well-mannered people to represent us if we were looking for a spokesperson. His way of choosing is much different.
Paul’s description of the people God chooses is much different than any help wanted ad I’ve ever seen. He tells us that God is looking for people who are “foolish,” “weak,” “base,” and “despised” by the world to represent Him. Have you ever seen a help wanted ad like this one?
There are people in the Church today who are using their talents and abilities to meet the needs of people. To a degree, this is good, but the Christian life is not supposed to be about us taking what we have and blessing people. Our goal must never be to draw attention to ourselves!
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12)
We cannot do the works of Jesus using our abilities and talents!
You cannot heal the sick or raise the dead without God’s anointing flowing through you!
God is not asking us to just do our best for Him. He is looking for yielded vessels who will allow His supernatural power to flow through them so that He will get all the glory.
Every Christian has the supernatural power of God already inside of their spirit. Few will tap into this because they are so focused on meeting the needs with their own abilities and talents.
