Are we willing to make a total commitment and sell out to the Lord? We must be if our goal is to fulfill His plan in our lives.
God’s love for us is offered through His grace. It has nothing to do with how we act or whether or not we’re serving in church.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1
We cannot become a living sacrifice without first laying down our lives. This will us to surrender the throne of our lives to God.
A living sacrifice will have no control. It is at the mercy of the one making the sacrifice. We must reach this place for God to reveal His perfect will.
We have seen that desires us much more than He does our service. He is looking for relationship. If we give Him our hearts in full surrender we will fully positioned to step out into His plan for our lives.
It will take a period of time for us to be fully surrendered. This part of the journey will not be pleasant as it will require a complete death of our selfish desires. For those who will not draw back God has things planned that will lead to an absolutely fulfilled life!
God cannot deal with all of our flesh instantly. Our flesh nature will continue to attempt to reassert itself into our lives for as long as we’re on this planet. Bringing it into submission to God will be something that must be done on a daily basis.
There are a lot of people who have made half hearted commitments of surrender. Their lives are continuously up and down and these are usually the people who seem to “rededicate” their lives on an almost weekly basis. We do not have to live this way!
It is possible to reach a place of complete surrender. This will require a firm decision that will accept nothing less than the will of God.
People often struggle with finding the plan of God because they are not committed to paying the price required to walk in it. God knows that this is not a place of surrender. If He revealed His plan it would place them in a position of accountability that could only lead them to failure. He loves us too much to allow us to be placed in such a position. This is why our first step into the plan of God must be in our becoming living sacrifices!
