Keys to Unlocking The Plan Of God Part 2

God has a purpose for each of our lives. None of us have the same purpose. We are unique and are responsible to discover His plan and purpose for our life. He has not left alone to do this. The Holy Spirit was sent to help us along the path that will lead us into the plan of God.

There is not a single person alive today who is an accident. God knew us before we were conceived and our birth did not surprise Him.

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremiah 1:5

God created each one of us with a specific purpose in mind. It seems that the majority never discover what this is. Instead they just go through life depending on their own efforts to achieve any level of success.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33

We are not going to find the plan of God without seeking. Attending one or two services weekly is not pursuing the plan of God. This will require consistent and careful effort to be expended on a daily basis.

I think one problem people have is that they are expecting instantaneous results. They spend a few days focused. This may consist of extra time being given in prayer or Bible study. We cannot force God to instantaneously work on our behalf by giving Him a day or two.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2

We can prepare our hearts. This will require us to make the decision to take time every day for the Word of God. It will also require us to spend much time in prayer. These are not things God can do for us.

Christians act as if it is impossible to know where and when God will move. This is not as difficult though as many think it is. There are reasons why God moves in a way that instantaneously changes everything.

Over the years I’ve read experiences with the Holy Spirit that men and woman have had which changed the direction of their lives in a moment of time. Many refer to these as “suddenly” moments. When I was a young Christian my heart desired to have a similar experience.

I’ve come to realize that there is a reason why God moves this way in some people’s lives and not in others. History reveals that in almost every case there were months or even years involved in the person seeking God before they had their “suddenly” experience.

The plan of God is not hidden from us. It seems this way because we’ve allowed ourselves to become distracted by the cares of life. We are just launching into this study and the question each one of us will have to answer is what price are we willing to pay to seek God?
