How Big Is God To You?

Did you know that God will be as big in your life as you will allow Him to? If you choose to believe that He no longer works miracles and is not interested in meeting your needs, He will meet you there. On the other hand though, if you choose to believe that He still heals today and will take care of you then He will meet you there.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1

There are Christians who choose to not believe that God desires for them to live a victorious life. God meets them where they are at and will not condemn them over their choices. He will try and guide them into a revelation of His plan for their lives but will also respect their choices.

We limit God in our thoughts. Paul recognized this:

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5

Everything we experience in life begins in our imagination. If we choose not to spend time in God’s Word on a daily basis our thoughts will not be in alignment with Him. He will be limited and unable to manifest fully in our lives.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 8:6

The carnal mind is focused on the natural realm. A Christian who has disciplined themselves to renew their minds with the Word will think small.

Most of us are living far below what has been provided in redemption. I have actually noticed that if the majority of us were asked to identify the Christian between if they were standing next to an unsaved person would be unable to tell the difference. By this I mean that the Christian’s life would most likely look just like the unsaved person.

We have been through a lot as a society over these past few months. A lot of people are suffering both physically and financially from the pandemic that has swept the entire globe. There are Christians who are depressed and discouraged by what is happening around them. The reason is that they are more plugged into the what the world has to say about Covid-19 than they are into the Word of God.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luke 21:34

Jesus said that we were to “take heed” lest our hearts be allowed to be overcome by the cares of this life. Many Christians do not understand how dangerous it is to let themselves feed on the same entertainments as the world. They watch the same news casts, television shows, sporting events, and movies but expect to live on a different level than the world around them.

If we will plug into the Word of God as our primary source of information we will not be overcome by the cares of the world. We will have a different outlook from those around us and we will not think like the unsaved world around us!
