Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
When we develop an awareness of the spiritual one and who we are in Christ it will change our relationship with God. We will no longer approach Him in prayer with timidity. Instead our approach will be based on the blood of Jesus.
We approach our heavenly father with boldness knowing that we are just like Jesus in this world!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Have you received Jesus and been born again? If you have then your spirit has been recreated into a new species of being that is exactly like Jesus in this world! I am not saying that we become God though.
Our born again spirit is as pure and holy as Jesus is. It is the Spirit of God who entered into our spirits when we became Christians. He is the unction within us that teaches us all things.
I believe that many Christians live at a level that is far below what God has planned for them. They are bound by the same things that the world around them are bound with and they often live paycheck to paycheck. This used to bother me and it was actually a description of my life before the spiritual realm became a reality.
Christians live under limitations imposed by religious traditions that are not based on who we are in the spirit. My goal in these series of posts is to introduce you to a life that is free from all limitations.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)
I have heard ministers read this verse and then mix it with the Old Testament passages that tell us God’s way are higher than ours. They argue that we are only human and must accept the lot of suffering in life doled out by God.
We need to realize that we are not just human beings meant to suffer through life. We are spirit beings that have been recreated in the image of God. Every born again Christian has the power of God dwelling in their spirit regardless of whether or not they walk in it.
If you are a Christian then you are filled with the Holy Spirt, recreated in the image of God, and you do not have to settle for human results!
I want you to take a look at what comes after 1 Corinthians 2:9:
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:10)
“But God…”
Without God we are not even a match for life or for people. Thank God though that we do not have to take a step without His Holy Spirt.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5)
Over the years I’ve had people quote this verse when I teach on the nature of man. They often quote it with religious tones and say, “without Him you cannot do anything.” The thing though is that I am in absolute agreement with them because we are nothing without Jesus.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)
We are nothing without Jesus but we will never be without Him!
If we will learn to walk in the Spirit and to draw on His resources, we would see the power of God in manifestation in much greater levels.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:17)
Paul tells us that we can understand the will of the Lord.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16)
We can understand the will of the Lord because we have the mind of Christ in our born again spirit! Many Christians operate out of their natural abilities and power when they have the mind of Christ in their spirits.
We do not have to go around like a blind man unable to see what is around us. Christians should be walking by faith and not by their five physical senses!
