A Revelation Of The Deep Things Of God

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

I have heard people quote this verse to justify why they struggle with finding the will of God for their lives. It was written the “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard” about what God has planned out because the Old Covenant did not provide a means for the Holy Spirit to dwell in the human spirit. Paul tells us that this has changed! God has revealed His plan by His Spirit who is dwelling in our spirit today.

The Holy Spirit will reveal the “deep things of God” to each one of us. We do not need to wait for the preacher to see them. There are too many Christians leaning on their ministers for guidance when they should be leaning on the Holy Spirit!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

We cannot do “all things” in our natural human ability. The Holy Spirit will empower us to accomplish all that God has called us to do. When we train ourselves to follow His leadings, we will find that the limits will be removed from our lives! Jesus has defeated Satan and we have been sealed into Him by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). When we face him, we stand in Christ’s victory and will always come out the victor if we do not let go of our faith.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5

I have heard people quote this verse from John when they hear people talk about this subject. It is true that are nothing without Jesus and it is true that we cannot do anything without Him. He is dwelling in our spirit through the Holy Spirit and will never leave us! There will never be a time in our Christian walk that He will not be with us!

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10

We were sealed into Jesus when we became a Christian (Ephesians 1:13). There are far too many people in the Church today that have given up on ever finding the plan of God for their lives. Jesus did not leave us on our own. He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in our spirits. The Holy Spirit is the power than raised Jesus from death and every Christian has that same raising from the dead power dwelling in their spirit!

Our lives will always be limited by our human frailties if we do not crucify our flesh nature and tap into the spiritual realm. None of us will ever be smart or strong enough to overcome every challenge we will experience.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13

The enemy will attack us with symptoms, lack, and disasters. We do not have to respond the way the unsaved do. Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit will shew us things to come. When we learn to follow His leadings, He will show us how to prepare for everything that is coming our way. People are surprised by the things they face as a result of not paying the price to become developed in their relationship with the Holy Spirit.

There are no shortcuts when it comes to spiritual development. People talk about needing a “word” from God to help them overcome a situation. The Holy Spirit is speaking but we have to listen. We will not recognize His voice if we are not spending time meditating on the Word and waiting in His presence. He desires to have a relationship with us but for this to happen we must be willing to invest time with Him.

As we develop in our relationship with the Holy Spirit, we will find ourselves being less and less subject to the flesh nature. It is true that we were sinners before becoming a Christian. We have been made new creations in Christ Jesus and have been made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21).

It is time for us to recognize the spiritual realm. Paul referenced the life that is only found in Christ Jesus in his second letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 1:1). Every Christian has been sealed into Jesus and are able to draw from the life that is found in Him. I believe that this is what Jesus was talking about in His conversation with the woman at the well in Samaria when He spoke of the water He would provide. I believe that the key to walking in the plan of God is for us to learn to know ourselves according to who we have become in Christ Jesus. We need to increase our spiritual vision. In my experience, it seems that my expectancy grows the more spiritually aware I am. Jesus has redeemed us from poverty, sickness, and spiritual death but our lack of spiritual awareness has kept the majority of Christians in bondages they have already been delivered from.
